Setting Fire to the Rain – Online Success

setting-your-rain-on-fireSuccess Online can come down to taking ‘consistent’ action for a prolonged period of time. The time duration that works for most people is between 90 days to 180 days.

We keep hearing that 97% of people who pursue this industry end up failing.

And that’s not what really is happening.

It just ‘seems’ that way.

97% of everyone who gets started online, don’t stay in the game long enough to let themselves succeed.

I keep hearing from many people that it’s hard.

Really really hard.

Here is the ‘Hard’ Part (buying into all of your Excuses / bullshit):

But the work that you need to do in order to succeed here like…

1- Creating Traffic

2- Generating Leads

3- Building relationships

Isn’t.

Sure it takes ‘consistent’ action but it’s not ‘Rocket Science’.

What’s really hard is to keep going (keep taking action daily) until you have built up enough momentum in your business.

Yes you (we) will make mistakes here and there but if we learn from them and keep moving forward, you will succeed.

So in truth…

The hard part is to keep going while your very ‘own’ mind will do its darn best to ‘talk you out of succeeding’.

If you put out enough ‘positive’ (daily) energy to the market place that helps enough people for a period of at least 180 days…you can breakthrough.

Recap: You have great Power ‘in’ you.

We are all connected. You and I are BOTH connected to our Source (God, Universe, Creator ETC).

You are ‘one’ with the ‘ONE’.

So you (and I, and everyone are ‘God Like’).

But we are here in a physical place called Earth.

So we ‘all’ have to abide by ‘physical’ laws (and spiritual laws).

So if one person can have success and happiness…everyone can have these things too.

But since you are having a ‘temporary’ experience as a physical being, you have to take ‘consistent’ action daily doing stuff like Income Producing Activities (3 things listed above).

And the only thing that would stop you dead in your tracks from sticking it out and taking all that action is the ‘Ego’ part of your mind.

Its the small ‘self’ that thinks it’s separate from everyone and from God.

It does a great job focusing you here as a separate being.

But while it does this, it keep telling you all kinds of bullshit to keep you feeling small and powerless.

And if you let it, it will stop you from succeeding online.

Here is that book that I mentioned in the video above:

“The Power of Now” -Eckhart Tolle

power-of-now-book

In this book (if you haven’t read it already), the author talks about the purpose of the Ego and how we spend most of our time being ‘identified’ with it.

All the negative thoughts we keep getting, are not your thoughts.

They are like a ‘collection’ of negativity that has been around for maybe millenniums.

This collective negative broadcast that we all keep getting downloaded to our brains, causes wars, road rage and many broken relationships (that could have been very beautiful).

I watched a movie called ‘Country Strong’ a few years ago with Hollywood stars like Gwyneth Paltrow (from Iron Man), Garret Hedlund (Tron) and even the famous country singing super star…Tim McGraw.

In an interview, Garret speaks about how he got ‘tutored’ to sing country music by Tim McGraw. Tim took Garret to the streets of Nashville to show him how many talented people can be found all over the place playing music for ‘nickels and dimes’.

Tim went as far as saying that there is so much talent by so many musicians.

‘All of them’ could have succeed big time in the Country Music industry but most of them don’t go far enough because they let their own minds talk them out if pursing the heck out of their individual talents.

So in a nutshell…

Most musicians don’t succeed because they don’t go all out!

And most people don’t succeed online because they don’t go all out!

And the only reason why any ‘one’ wouldn’t go all out in their business’s is because of all the BS Excuses that I spoke about in this post and video above.

On another note…

Superstar singer – Adele was asked what she mean’t in her song called “Set Fire to the Rain”, where it sounded like she was singing about a love relationship.

I used to think that all of Adele’s songs were kind of sucky until I realized that she was showing her fans in her own way how she got through many ‘limiting’ beliefs and issues in her life.

On an interview she said that Set Fire to the Rain was really about ‘burning pain’, getting rid of it and ‘demolishing’ it.

It was a very ‘liberating’ song.

The people who watch her performances are always ’emotionally’ moved.

She always moves the entire room.

Take a look at all the people blowing kisses to her.

Take a look at how she (Adele), the orchestra behind her and even the audience in front of her are all part of something great.

When you see her fans blowing kisses to her, they (and even the orchestra behind her) are so emotionally  moved because everyone (on a deep level) realize that they are all part of something great.

When ever you see fans going nuts it’s not just because they like the performer.

It’s mostly because everyone can feel the ‘SURGE’ of Greatness that we are all part of.

  1. Hey Rory,

I am with you on people give up way to soon.. I truly believe the time for most people to see some type of result is 6 – 8 months. Plenty of time to test the water.

6 to 8 months to start breaking the ice is a good amount of time. But they will have to be taking ‘daily’ action or that won’t happen. Thanks Carl!

  2. Great post on an important subject. People must overcome that instant gratification mentality and put in the time to overcome old habits. 90 days is enough time to establish a habit.

Yes that’s it right there! Consistency is where it’s at…backed by a ‘supportive’ Mindset! Thank you Jelena!

  3. Truth — your message in this post Rory. A very strong message to believe in ourselves and keep going every day. As we’ve all heard many times, the only way to fail is to quit. Let’s all set the rain on fire!
